Mer De Glace

In Year 10, there was a large school trip to Switzerland which included a day at the Mer De Glace in Chamonix. On our way up it was a cold and misty day, but as the train climbed up the mountain, the sun broke out. We were greeted by this amazing sight. A glacier thousands of years old, where each year the French actual carve out a cave into the ice. They filled it with colourful lights and ice sculptures. It was truly beautiful!
